SAT Math: Terms & Policies

These terms and policies apply to SAT Math tutoring by Joel Samuel Academy. By booking a demo class or classes, you agree to them.
1. Terms
The service
Joel Samuel Academy offers live online tutoring for the Math section of the Digital SAT, one-to-one or in small groups, held on Zoom.
Booking and consent
Classes for a student under 18 are booked by a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on the student’s behalf.
Free demo class
The first demo class is free and carries no obligation.
Fees and payment
Fees are quoted in US dollars per hour, as shown on the SAT Math page, and are billed every two weeks in advance by invoice. Each invoice covers the next two weeks of classes (four classes), counted from your child’s first paid class. Invoices can be paid by card or by bank transfer through our payment provider. Payment is due before the classes it covers begin. Fees may change; any change applies from the next invoice.
Scheduling
Class times are agreed with each student in their own time zone.
No score guarantee
We do not guarantee any particular SAT score.
Teaching material
Notes and material shared in class are for the student’s personal use only and may not be shared, copied or published.

SAT® is a trademark registered by the College Board, which is not affiliated with, and does not endorse, Joel Samuel Academy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Telangana, India.
2. Privacy
What we collect
When a parent or guardian books a demo class or classes, by WhatsApp or by email, we collect the parent’s name and contact details, and the student’s first name, school grade and time zone. During the course we keep notes on the student’s progress.
How we use it
Only to arrange and run the classes, to send invoices and to answer your messages. We do not sell, rent or trade your information.
Children
Our SAT Math classes are for high-school students. We collect a student’s details only with the consent of a parent or guardian, and our services are not directed at children under 13.
Who else handles it
Live classes take place on Zoom; payments are processed by Razorpay (we never see or store card or bank details); messages reach us through WhatsApp or email. Each of these services handles data under its own privacy policy.
Where it is processed
Joel Samuel Academy is based in India. If you contact us from another country, your information is transferred to and processed in India.
Your rights
A parent can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete their own or their child’s information by writing to sat@joelsamuelacademy.in.
3. Refunds
The first demo class is free. Classes are billed every two weeks in advance. Fees for a two-week period that has already started are not refunded. A missed class may be made up with an extra session, depending on the situation. If we cancel a class and cannot reschedule it, that class is credited to the next invoice or refunded to the original payment method.
4. Cancellation and rescheduling
There is no long-term contract. You may stop classes at the end of any two-week period by telling us at least 3 days before the next invoice. To move a single class, please tell us as early as possible and we will try to find another slot.
